Welcome to our web site.

Happy Valley Primary School is an R-7 school offering a broad curriculum targeted to meet the individual needs of students. Specialist subjects include Japanese, Digital Technologies, Physical Education, Choir and the Arts.
Our core values are Respect, Responsibility and Integrity. Our vision is to be life-long learners who contribute positively to the community as responsible citizens of the future.
Our learning programmes embrace the natural environment of the adjacent reserve and the kitchen garden offers opportunities for students to grow their own food and produce delicious meals.
Our staff are committed to collaborative learning teams focussed on the inquiry of best practice in teaching and learning and the consistent use of data to inform learning programmes and student achievement. Three ‘Big Ideas’ represent the core principals of our Professional Learning communities – A Focus on Learning, A Culture of Collaboration and A Focus on Results.
The Out of School Hours and Vacation Care programmes are an asset to our community offering a range of interesting activities before and after school.
We provide a school culture that is supportive and caring in partnership with families and the community.

You can read about our achievements in these priorities in our latest Annual Report. We encourage our community to be involved in the activities we offer, helping us develop links that enrich our student learning. The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden project is an example of this. Please don’t hesitate to email or phone if you would like to know more about our school or have questions or feedback. To find out more about school events and current activities, we recommend you check out our school newsletters
